Dads: How could we ever live without them?
Let’s face it. Our dads are some of the coolest guys we know.
They’re funny, kind, supportive, and chock full of wisdom, even if that wisdom comes in the form of an infamous Dad Joke. Father’s Day is just around the corner, and this year we’ll be giving dads across the world the shout out they deserve. Here are our top reasons why dads are simply the best:
They always know how to make us smile.
Dads can be total goofballs sometimes, but they do it out of pure love. And let’s be honest – our dads are some of the funniest guys on the planet – no one makes us laugh until we cry the way they do, even if their jokes are a little cheesy from time to time. Plus, I’m sure some of us can admit to using a couple of their classic one-liners later on in life…
They know what’s best for us (even if we don’t want to admit it).
Most of us are guilty of thinking we have our lives entirely under control. Because everyone else makes bad decisions while we do everything we should…right? How many times have you wanted to do something, like dating that older bad boy, only for your dad to warn you that you’d end up regretting it? Hindsight is 20/20, and even if Dad’s advice upsets us sometimes, we know that in the end that he just wants us to be happy.
But most importantly, dads are amazing because they’ll always be there for us, no matter what happens.
Whether it’s a bad break-up, a rejection from the job you wanted, or any other of life’s disappointments, we can always count on our dads to be by our sides when we need them, no matter how far away they are. And that’s why we wanted to take the time to honor them, and all that they do for us.
