Labor Day is on its way!
This holiday weekend is about taking a much needed break from working all year round. We, Americans, are workaholics and sometimes we forget to take time for ourselves to reenergize and destress from all the pressure we have from our jobs. With the hints of fall just around the corner, the seasonably temperate days filled with fluffy clouds and bright sunlight will make you want to take advantage of the break to come with these activities below!
Farmer’s Market
Spend the day shopping for the freshest fruits and veggies, produced locally by your neighborhood farmer’s market. There are always those great vendors with the lavender scented soap and cider doughnuts. Try not to spend all your money in one place!

Just because the days of summer are approaching doesn’t mean you have to act like it! Have one last beach hurrah before the days start cooling down. Be sure to pack a few magazines and good book to keep you entertained while you tan.

Marathon
Participate in the Labor Day race going on in your town! There is a lot of preparation involved physically, mentally, and maybe even emotionally. But think of how great it will feel to cross that finish line, all while raising money for a good cause. And if you can’t run, cheer on the marathon runners, it’s all about team spirit and having fun!

Park Picnic
The only way to have a picnic in the park is to do it the old fashioned way: with a brown woven basket full of pre-cut sandwiches with chips and watermelon, a Gingham picnic blanket, and your closest friends (oh and don’t forget the bug repellent)!

Yard Sale Spree
Go from neighborhood to neighborhood in search the best yard sales. You can make a day out of finding some of the gems people are willing to give away, and even try your hand at haggling! One man’s trash is another man’s treasure– there is more truth in that statement than you think.
